The Bertram L. Ashe Educational Foundation Scholarship honors the mission of its founder Dr. Bertram L. Ashe to provide tools, programs, and services for under-served African American students. The foundation annually awards scholarships ranging from $1,000-$1,500 to selected qualified applicants.
Recipients may use the scholarships to attend a college or university of their choice within the United States. Scholarships are not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline. However, students interested in pursuing a career in education are highly valued.
Applicants for the Bertram L. Ashe Educational Foundation Scholarship must be Black/African American, US citizens or permanent residents, and currently in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree.
