Both of our moms spent their years in the classroom fighting to replace outdated and racially biased curricula, clashing with colleagues who substituted punishment for pedagogy, particularly when dealing with Black students, and struggling against the low expectations of administrators with limited visions of Black potential…
The Bertram Leonard Ashe Educational Foundation is conducting its second annual Fall Fundraising Campaign. The fundraising campaign is in celebration of American Education Week November 16-20 and will kick off with a presentation of an award to the foundation’s 2020 scholarship recipient.
LOS ANGELES – Today BCE Media Inc., parent company of online events calendar BlackCulturalEvents.com and led by CEO Pamela Ashe-Thomas, announced that it would be sponsoring the second annual Bertram Leonard Ashe Educational Foundation fall fundraising campaign (https://www.gofundme.com/bertram-ashe-educational-foundation). The fundraising campaign is in celebration of American Education Week November 18-22 and will culminate with a presentation of an award to the foundation’s 2019 scholarship recipients.

PowerGirls Ministries validates, celebrates, and empowers young urban influenced women of color in support of living a productive and God honoring lifestyle.
